ABOUT

This blog

In life we all play many roles, each of which come with their own set of hurdles, difficulties, trials and triumphs. My role as a daughter I thought would have been the hardest thing i'd ever have to go through. I was sent off to a religious boarding school aged 11, from which i was kicked out of...twice. I was then forced into studying both my GCSEs and Alevels from home. I struggled with depression from a young age and by 18 I was at my worst. So yes, I thought nothing could be harder than that role.  Soon after I chose the role of a wife. I love this role, this role finally came with some respite and happiness, ups and downs sure, but it was an easy role. I have now found myself in the role of mother... A thankless, tireless, never ending role. One so very very lonely, yet so infinitely rewarding. This role puts every other one to shame. I could write pages and pages on my past, yet during those times i found solace in writing poetry. Mum brain however has zapped my ability to pour out poetic stanzas and so instead i've chosen to document it all via this blog. At 21 I had my first little boy, Zaid. He was born via emergency c-section and I was thrust into the life of a FTM. I struggled with PPD and fell pregnant quite soon after. At aged 22 i had my second little boy, Hamza. This is my musings, ventings and truths of coping as a mum of 2 under 2.
